With the advancement of technology in EV sector, car owners are shifting gears to consider Electric Vehicles as their car buying option. Purchasing EVs is more reliable choice over conventional combustion engine cars in almost all aspects. There are many factors that help us demonstrate why EVs overweighs gasoline powered vehicle. Additional, the government organisation also providing tax credits and incentives to EV owners as it seeks to promote battery as well as hybrid electric vehicles in the country.

Features like immediate torque, better performance and silent ride bolster EVs in contrast to IECs. They also have a lower fuel and maintenance costs that form a powerful point as to why consumers go with EVs. Moreover, the ultimate aim is to create a better and healthier planet for all living beings and that is only achievable by adopting EVs as the mode of transportation. For all these reasons and more, EVs have caught the attention of car-lovers and commuter alike across the globe.

EVs save you a lot of money

Unlike conventional gasoline powered cars which required diesel and petrol as fuel, EVs are powered by Li-ion battery that required electricity as their medium of fuel. These batteries are eco-friendly in nature that not only save the environment but also help you in reducing your driving cost. Besides, combustion engine has lot of moving parts that demand high maintenance, hence, raising the price of your car.

Better driving quality

With less moving components and instant torque, EVs provide a far better experience in regards to driving. Besides, EVs have lower centre of gravity that strength the stability of the car.

Health benefits

Reduced harmful exhaust emissions is good news for our health. Better air quality will lead to less health problems and costs caused by air pollution. EVs are also quieter than IECs, which resulting in less noise pollution.

Concern Issue

Looking at the current scenario, lack of charging infrastructure is an area of concern, however, there have been some positive developments. For instance, Delhi recently legalised charging stations for e-rickshaws and hopes with more incentives in the coming future. Apart from that, India’s largest power generation utility, has already commissioned its first EV charging station designed in house with a capacity to charge three electric vehicles simultaneously.

Along with charging stations, the government should also needs to focus on the manufacturing of the Li-ion battery packs as most of the Indian manufacturing companies import cells from Chinese makers which increase our nation dependence on other countries.

The government of India is offering various incentives for EV owner to promote EV across the nation. The government plans to proposal $4.6 billion as incentives to companies setting up advance manufacturing facilities as to promote the use of EV to cut down its dependence on oil. Besides, the country is largely depended on other nations for importing of petroleum that resulting in weakening of our currency value. Adopting EVs as the source of transportation will definitely take time but eventually it will cost you less and more importantly minimise air as well as noise pollution.
